MetalHeadRadio:
Whats the origin of your band name?

Deaths Incursion:
Deaths Incursion means," Deaths Hostile take over." To us it represents everyday life....
nobody wants to die, but everyday your one day closer to your demise. Death is pretty
self explanatory, as for incursion its a word from the 1400 mid-evil times It means a
hostile take over. It came to us one day at practice in a garage. I don’t remember who
knew the word, but it was thrown out there, we looked it up, and together came up with
Deaths Incursion.

MetalHeadRadio:
How long have you all known each other? How did you meet?

Deaths Incursion:
Toaster and Drew have known each other for eight years, They met Edson two years later
and formed a band. The band soon fell apart and they went there separate ways. Drew then
met Nick in September of 2006. Drew later contacted Toaster and pulled him in. Ryan has
just been a long time friend of toasters that he contacted and found out was looking for a band.
We rocked the spot for a cool year and a half as a three piece until pulling Edson and Ryan on
June of 2008.

MetalHeadRadio:
When did you form your band?

Deaths Incursion:
The band originated in November of 2006. We all shared the same common love and passion
for heavy metal. Its an outlet for us to release all emotions and it doesn’t matter how, but it
makes sense. Our music to us is the only place we have that brings us complete serenity.
No matter what it sounds like to other people, to us its bliss. It’s our way of life.

MetalHeadRadio:
What is your music background?

Deaths Incursion:
Toaster grew up listening to early metal.....Ozzy, Ac/Dc, Metallica, Pantera,....and vocally
was drawn first hand to Johnathan Davis's Korn. Then Static X, then Randy Blythe of
Lamb of God. Nick started playing the guitar nine years ago. He started taking lessons then
bridged off on his own. He was inspired by Panteras own, and Metal God Dimebag Darrel.
Rest in peace Dime. He was the reason Nick picked up the guitar and he's never put it
down since. Drew started playing the drums when he was ten at his church. He never had
a set, but made do with anything he could find. Pots, pans, counters, boxes…..he still does
it to this day. Three and a half years ago he got his first set….finally. His main influences were
Chris Adler from Lamb of God, Vinny Paul from Pantera. Edson started playing bass in 2001.
He started learning how to play the bass with brother band Death Is Eternal. At the time he
wasn’t even into metal, it was actually rap that made him want to get his first bass, but that all
changed once he played his first backyard show as bassist for Death Is Eternal. It was short
lived as he quit D.I.E for personal reason. After a brief run in with the fluke band S.É.D, he
was ready to hang it up, until Deaths Incursion. Ryan started playing guitar seventeen years
ago off and on. It was all self taught. His main influences are, Dave Mustain of Megadeth,
Dimebag Darrel of Pantera, Slash of Guns and Roses, Carl Sanders of Nile and Devin
Townsend of Strapping young Lad. He was in the band In Vain before a falling out caused
the rest of the band to leave him hangin. There loss, our find.

MetalHeadRadio:
Who are your musical influences?

Deaths Incursion:
All members influences: Lamb of God, Arch Enemy, Pantera, Megadeth, Iron Maiden,
Decapitated, The Faceless, Korn.

MetalHeadRadio:
What are your immediate music career goals? ( Next year or so)

Deaths Incursion:
To be heard! We just want to play heavy metal for true metal heads. Our first Album looks
like it might be ready by Christmas of this year. Of course we want to be signed, hopefully
within the next year, but we're not willing to sale out to get there.

MetalHeadRadio:
Who handel your daily business activities?

Deaths Incursion:
Drew usually handles the business end, while Toaster is the main handler of the web page,
promoting on the internet, and answering mail.

MetalHeadRadio:
Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organizations?

Deaths Incursion:
No, but we do get played regularly on Metal Head Radio. Much love!
And were on Flashrock.

MetalHeadRadio:
Do you think internet radio is a viable means to get your music "out there"?

Deaths Incursion:
HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All exposure is good exposure, even negative.

MetalHeadRadio:
Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues?

Deaths Incursion:
Angels Roadhouse #2(All the time, thats like our second home), Tremors, Stingers,
Papa Joes, Pepper Lounge, Gotham......that’s just the main ones. Tremors is probably
the least. Angels Roadhouse #2 is the best as of right now.

MetalHeadRadio:
Where would the "ultimate" venue for you to play be?

Deaths Incursion:
Something like the Verizon Wireless Amphatheatre side by side with Lamb of God or
Arch Enemy or The Faceless or for Toaster, Korn.

MetalHeadRadio:
Which songs do you perform most frequently? Do you ever play any covers?

Deaths Incursion:
All of them as of right now. We only have eight. At practice, yea for fun, shows,
it's all about us.

MetalHeadRadio:
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs?

Deaths Incursion:
Toaster of course writes 95% of the lyrics, reality. Struggles in life, things people can
relate to. Drew comes up with most of the ideas and Nick is the icing on the cake.
Ryan adds an element of endless ideas for Nick to feed off and translate into something
insane. Edson is the missing link that fills any voids.

MetalHeadRadio:
What are your rehearsals generally like?

Deaths Incursion:
Our rehearsals are very productive. We practice for about Eight hours on Saturday, but its
crazy insane fun. Theres never a dull moment, I'll tell you whhhhhhut. We practice every
Saturday and the guitars get together once a week.

MetalHeadRadio:
How has your music evolved since first began playing together?

Deaths Incursion:
It’s gotten more technical, a lot more organized, a lot tighter, and a lot heavier.

MetalHeadRadio:
What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands?

Deaths Incursion:
Do it because you love to play whatever music it is you love, not because
of hopes of fame and fortune.

MetalHeadRadio:
What is the name of your most current CD? Where can it be purchased?

Deaths Incursion:
We are currently working on our First Cd, with hopes of it being released by
Christmas of this year. Stocking stuffers!! As for everything else, it can be heard
on our webpage or you can get one from us, just hit us up.

MetalHeadRadio:
Do you maintain a webpage or myspace page? If so what is the URL
